Under the "File" menu in IE there is an "Import and Export" function. That will allow your to export your cookies and favorites from one machine unto a disk, and then import them from that disk onto another machine. I think Outlook Express has the same option, but I don't have it installed on this machine to verify.
After opening up Outlook Express I went to the File Menu and selected "Export" and then selected "Addressbook."
A Window pops up entitled "Address Book Export Tool" and I then select it. I then click on "Export" and the window "Choose Profile" appears with "Compaq" already selected. I hit "OK" and a prompt says "Address Book Export has Completed." I have tried locating the file with "Find" without success.
BTW, thanks for responding...a computer wiz I am not!
Yeah, if you use the text comma seperated option, the next screen asks you for the name. Hit the "browse" button and you should be able to select the "A:" drive and name it whatever you want.
When I use the favorites export function in IE5.5 (WinMe), it puts a file named Bookmark.htm into the My Documents directory. You can either look there or do a search of the file name to find out where IE put it. Once you find it, you can copy this file to a floppy, then copy it to the other computer. On the other computer use the favorites import function to complete the transfer. Hope this helps.
