Inspiron One 2305 (mid 2010)

The touch function on this system no longer works. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching us.

You may try a few steps to diagnose the fault.

Please update the BIOS to the latest version from http://dell.to/1HsAIQh

Then Enable the following drivers in device manager.

Under Human Interface Device , Enable "HID Complaint Touch screen"

Under USB Controller, Enable USB Root hub (xHCI)

Check if that works, Else Please run a hardware diagnostics

To enter diagnostics, Keep tapping F12 on the startup Dell logo that comes as soon you press the power button.

Select "Diagnostics" from the list, Let it run through the tests, Once that is completed, Try using the touch input to select the list of devices on the screen, Let us know if it responds to the input.

Thank you
