is it possible from dvd+r to dvd-r ???
Dear freinds,
Does it possible that existe firmware that converts NEC DVD +R (only) writer to have ability to write DVD-R
Does it no metter wich model I have just is it posible that you do something like this???

Not with current Dell supplied firmware. I have seen some posts on firmware for "Retail" versions of some of the Dell DVD burner drives that will update them to the dual format, however there is no guarantee it will work on a Dell OEM version of the drive and it can void your warranty and I've even seen some posts where applying a non-Dell suplied (wrong) firmware version has made the drive inoperable.
Best thing, if you want the dual format is to just buy a dual format DVD burner. I just recently bought a Pacific Digital dual format DVD burner for $89 (with rebates). Thie drive is a NEC ND2500A, and works great.
