Minimize Tool Bar

The "bar" across bottom of sceen(starts w/start, then icons, then  open windows and ends with the time) has gotten too big somehow, probably from my son.  I've clicked and dragged it down but it is still bigger than it used to be.  How can I make it smaller?

bdoone,

Right-click it and uncheck "Lock the toolbar." You can then drag it down to its former height. The toolbar resizes to multiples of its normal size: normal, 2X normal, 3X normal, etc. When it is back to normal, right-click and lock it again.

One thing i would check with a ME os.

R-click taskbar>properties>advanced>scroll at the bottom down to enable moving and resizing and make sure box is checked.  HTH, Randy

Regarding toolbar/taskbar, I right clicked but there is no 'unlock toolbar' setting.  I am running Win ME if that makes a difference.  Thanks.

if ur using windows me then just put ur cursor near the top of the taskbar untill ur mouse looks like 2 arrows pointing up and down.  Then hold the left mouse button and drag it to normal size
