need 1394 net adapter for dell dimension 8400

I have a dell dimension 8400, windows xp home, 3.4 gig processor, 160 gig hard drive. I recently reinstalled windows xp and when i tried to connect to the internet i noticed a yellow question mark by the ethernet controller in the device manager. I can't find a driver for the 1394 net adapter. Can someone tell me where to get it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Brian,

Driver download & reinstallation questions are among the most common things posted in the General Hardware conferences here. You may want to check the Desktops FAQ at the top of this one for answers before starting a new thread. Don't take this as a chastisement, just a friendly suggestion.  :smileyhappy:  The driver you need for the 8400's integrated NIC is here.

Assuming you have integrated audio, the file you need is R94481.EXE.

Hello,

Im sorry if went about this the wrong way, I am a newbie in this forum. Thanks for the link for the driver. It worked.

I was wondering if you could tell me where to look for the multimedia audio controller, thats my last yellow question mark in the device manager.

I will go to a specific forum next time, forgive me, I didn't know.

Thanks,

Brian
