Problem booting XP on Dell XPS 8700?

Hi! After trying for a long time to install the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition with Service Pack 2, I finally got the installation to complete successfully. I was able to do this by "slipstreaming" the AHCI drivers into the XP installation directory and using nLite and burn the ISO to a CD. The installation completed fine with no issues. But now when I try to boot the computer for the first time I am getting the dreaded BSOD message quickly flash and then the computer restarts:

"A problem has been detect and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed
hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive
to make sure it is properly configured and terminate.
Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then
restart your computer

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF8975528, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)"

Attempting to boot the computer in safe mode gives the same message as well as starting Windows with Last Known Good Configuration. The BIOS settings I am using are Legacy as opposed to UEFI and it does not boot with SATA mode set to either RAID or AHCI. Is there anyone who has been successful in getting XP to run on a Dell XPS 8700 desktop that might be able to help me out? I looked over this previous thread http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19513856 and the author did not mention this problem coming up.

Why bother?

If you have specific software that's designed for XP (32 or 64-bit), you probably can get it to run in Win 7, Win 8 or Win 10 by setting the Compatibility Mode for that software to XP in whichever newer OS you're using.

The OS is obsolete... and the hardware of the XPS 8700 is too new... Install VMWare Player and install Windows XP in a VM.

There are no F6 drivers for the chipset so unless the Sata operation has ATA mode it wont EVER work.

Limited OEM driver support is available with F6 during Windows XP Setup
