SB LIve! 24 No Sound
Suddenly, there it was, gone! Sound just disapeared. Could it be the countless PC World downloads? Maybe, but think I have removed all (or most) of them. Even removed Skype (another recent experiment), to no avail. Tried downloading and re-installing the drivers, but still nothing.
Anybody got any utile suggestions?
The hardware is supposedly working (according to Creative Diagnostics, but everything else in the diagnostic is a FAIL.
Running a Dimension 4700, with SB Live! 24.

If it's not the actual speakers or nothing muted in the Volume Control panel, reseat the sound card and see if that helps. Reseat - with the PC powered off, open the case and remove the sound card; then reinstall it making sure it's fully and correctly seated.
