henryhll,

It can't be done. Underlining requires formatting and email addresses are plain text by definition. If the email address was a hyperlink, which will be underlined, the email address should work without the underline.

I think you are just refering the the underline character used in an email address and not trying to totally underline the address. In that case, the underling character is right there next to the zero _ and should work just fine.

That just means you can click on it to go into your email and have the message partially filled in.  The actual email address of the person is NOT underlined.  yogiberra@strikeout.com  The email address is yogiberra@strikeout.com .  If you click on the underlined one, it should open your email program and fill in the TO field.  I made up the email address as an example.

Henry,

All the above posters hit it right on the head. To add an E-mail address to your outgoing message, do this. After composing your message, open your address book and right click on the E-mail address you want to add. Right-click and select copy and then paste it to the proper place in the message. OE will underline (and color it) automatically and it will become a clickable link.

Henry:

Try clicking on the underlined address and see what email address fills in your email.  It should show you an email address that is different then what you are trying to type in.  There is no such thing as an underlined email address.

yes! thanks i know that if i click on it will bring me to the recipients  email address box,  but i have something i want to "FORWARD" to someone from my  email site to them,  and when i type in the email address with out the underline  it comes back undeliverable, When  I notify the intended recipient  of why they can't recieve my forwarding message, Im then asked  to make sure the address is underlined???? then it will go through.

thanks again,  h.h.
