some keys of keyboard doesn´t work...

Hey,

I have a Dell SK-8135 Keyboard.

The keyboard is great. But some keys aren´t OK.

Now it´s the S,F and 6 Key. Before some other keys didn´t work.

I had to screw the keyboard and to clean it. Before the W,A,D or E didn´t work.

It worked fine around 1 week but then there were some keys in the left position which didn´t work.

I don´t think that the keyboard is dirty everytime between the keys. I wonder that the problems are only in the left position.

There was no water damage or something like that.

What could be the problem and how can I solve it?

IMHO you need to get a new keyboard!:emotion-15:

But what´s the problem?

I think it´s strange that a keyboard conks out without a reason.

I think there isn´t reason for conking out.

Sometimes some crumbs but not more.

I have the same problem with this keyboard.

Allmost always d key, sometimes s key doens't work.

Dell keyboards are poor quality. On my work we have had also this problem with Dell keyboards. It's a construction problem.

I think i have to buy a new one (not Dell).

I also have a Dell SK-8135 which came new with my PC in April 2007.

2 months ago the Z and C keys stopped working and only by pressing the keys and holding them down and wobbling them was I able to get them to work. There were no crumbs and no liquid deposits under the keys.

It was very annoying as one of these keys is used in a couple of passwords, where stars appear instead of the letters. So you don't know whether the key has worked or not.

I emailed Dell with the problem and they came back to me very quickly and asked me to conduct a simple procedure.

I still had the problem and they have sent me a new keyboard as the warranty was still active.

It seems that once you have this problem the only answer is to obtain a new keyboard.

I thought the Dell service was excellent.

Good luck with sorting your keyboard problem
