Upgrading Dimension E520 CPU - BIOS release notes

I have an old Dimension E520 CPU with an Intel G965 chipset and want to upgrade my CPU to a Core 2 Quad Q6600 or 6700 from a Pentium D. Now I know people have successfully upgraded to the Q6600, but even if it's a small difference I'd like to go for the Q6700 if possible, but I'm not sure if it's supported by the BIOS ver. 2.4.0 and can't find release notes anywhere.

This is the page for the BIOS and under fixes and enhancements and just says "Dell DM061 BIOS Release Notes Copyright 2007 Dell" with no refrence as to where to find a specific list of supportd cpus or anything.

If anyone knows where I can find these or if the Q6700 is supported the info. would be appreciated.
