using BIOS to disable graphics card
Im asking this question all over the place. Maybe you BIOS experts can help. Im changing my graphics card. I have a dimensions 2400 with an intergrated graphics card. Im changing to a geforce FX. I was told that i had to press F2 to go to the BIOS, then right arrow to advanced, then go to peripheral configuration and disable the intergrated video card from there. When i go into the BIOS, i cannot find any advanced title, theres just system date, time, boot sequence etc. There is a title called intergrated device but if i go in there, there still isnt anything like advanced or peripheral configuration. These are the options:
sound
network interface controller
mouse port
usb emulation
usb controller
PCI slots
serial pot 1
parallel pot
diskette interface
primary video controller
onboard video buffer
network interface controller
mouse port
usb emulation
usb controller
PCI slots
serial pot 1
parallel pot
diskette interface
primary video controller
onboard video buffer
Do you know if i need to disable any of these?

Try the Primary Video Controller option.

If it is set Auto, then it should be using the PCI video adapter.

I can't locate the advanced tab as well. I updated the bios to A05 thinking it might be a versioning issue with the bios but it didn't help. I checked the online manual and it mentions the advanced tab as well but I can't see anything other than the main page.
What am I missing? I need help on this quickly as I really need to disable the onboard graphics and I was told to do this via the advanced tab.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I see that, but then how do you disable the onboard video if not presented with the option. I only hear of this advanced option across the boads but I have never seen it.
Sorry to be a pain but there has got to be a way.
Thanks again.
