what do I do with C,D, and E drives
I have a Dimension XPS D233 with a 4.3G hard drive partitioned into 1.99G on C, 1.52G on D and 501MB on the E drive. C Drive has 1.70G used in memory and the D drive has zero used. C and D have been converted to FAT32. E drive has not - evidently too small. I have been experiencing printer problems lately (HP DeskJet 890C) and I suspect that lack of memory may be partly responsible. I never have understood the partitioning of the hard drive. How do I use the untapped 1.52G in D? The computer came with W95 installed and I upgraded to W98. Thanks for any input.

For starters, you can move all of your data files from C:\ (which is probably getting pretty full) to the unused partition. Additionally, when you install new programs, make a Program Files folder on D:\ and install your new programs onto it. If you need room on C:\ you can also uninstall programs currently in C:\Program Files and reinstall them in D:\Program Files.
Another thing I do with my other partitions is save all of my downloads in a "Downloaded .exe" folder. In case I should have to format and reinstall my operating system in C:\ I can simply install from the downloaded files on E:\ (in my case) without having to download them again. Since I am restricted to a dial-up connection, this represents a tremendous time saver.
