XPS400 and fan speed ?

EASYWATCH LCD System Monitor /Fan Controller

       I was wondering if there is anyway to manually control the fan system on the XPS line of desktops . I purchased a EasyWatch by Aero cool its a piece of hardware that fits into any available 3.25" bay at the front of the tower a temp monitor and fan controler. Since my XPS Tower ,that is by all means a very nice and big tower has two of these empty bays I figured the lite up display of the EasyWatch would dress up the front of the PC ,which it does very nicley . I was able to get the temp monitors attached to the three spots to be monitored the CPU,VGA (graphics card) and overall inside case temp . However I did not and was unable to connect the fan controllers . I was told that it would not be a good idea anyway since Dell PC's come with a very good automatic fan controller and the 3 pin connectors where not compatable anyway ! Last week we had a heat wave with temps getting into the 106%F ,I have air conditioning however I did notice my cpu temp was up around 55%C !  It normally runs at 50%C and that's while Iam on the internet with my TV Wonder on and some other apps running, anti-virus etc. Iam just curious if I wanted to have the fans wirl up like they do when you are downloading off a CD or for whatever reason the computer automatic fan controller picks to reve up the fans, is there a way for the user to have the fans do this when you wanted it to for a minute or so ?  Iam curious how the fan controller in the Dell systems work any links or articles on this subject I would find interesting !
