diskette driven 0 seek failure

i have an inspiron 531s desktop when starteing computer does not finish initial power up .. the led light is solid blue and on start up receive 1 beep... screen shows diskette drive 0 seek failure ...should i be changing settings in bios ... this is a vista operating system

Correct. If you do not have a floppy disk drive, go into the Bios and disable it.

I did disable the disk drive and saved updates (f10) and still having the same problem...should I be changing something else in the BIOS ..

Do you have any other external USB drives connected?

Go to bios and check the boot order. Make sure to remove any floppy drive diskette in the boot order and save the new settings. Also--You can copy all the current bios settings--anything you changed in the bios--and reset to the Bios Defaults.

I had the same problem one time and i think your Hard Drive may be dammaged. I replaced mine and it was fixed after that...
