Ethernet card not recognized after re-installing XP
I have a Dimension 2400. The hard drive crashed so I replaced it and reinstalled XP. Now, I have 2 issues;
1. The ethernet card is not recognized
2. The resolution on the moniter is too low and I can't increase it.
Any ideas as to what needs to be done?

Download these to your desktop and install them one at a time.
Chipset
Ethernet
Audio
Video

If you have the driver disc that came with your machine then you will need to put it in to install the ethernet cards drivers. As for the resolution being too low, it sounds like you don't have the correct video driver installed either, you will also find those on the driver cd.

That is very helpful advice but since I can't get to the internet with my desktop (I am using my laptop), how can I get those downloads to my desktop? Is it possible to download to my laptop and copy them to my desktop?

Yes, just save them to your hard drive on the laptop, copy them to, say a USB stick (or if you can and prefer, burn them to a CD) then onto your desktop hard drive.
Then to install, just double click on the .exe files

Here is the driver page for the Dimension 2400.Install the chipset driver first then the others.
