Keyboard and Mouse issues - How do I fix them? Is it a problem with the computer or peripheral?

Hi,

Recently (within the past week) I've run into problems where my computer thinks certain keys/buttons are being held down.

They are:

W

A

S

D

Q

E

Shift

Space

Control

Right click

Left click

These are my most commonly used keys/buttons, so this can get very annoying. In addition, most of the F keys get stuck, but that's because there's actually something that needs to be cleaned out from under them.

My questions are: How can I fix this? Is this a problem with my computer or my keyboard and mouse?

Incase it matters, here are my computer specs, as well as my keyboard and mouse:

Inspiron 620, 8 gigs of Dell RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6450, everything else left the way it came

Mad Catz Cyborg S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 Keyboard

Mad Catz Cyborg R.A.T. 9 mouse

Hi,

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum.

This might happen due to wear and tear usage of the keyboard and Mouse, click on this link http://ow.ly/Ermrr which has some steps and download the FIxit. Restart the computer and let us know if that changes anything.

Thank you!

I don't know why I didn't think of using Fixit. It's fixed every problem I've ever had with this computer.
