Optiplex 390 PSU upgrade
I have a Dell optiplex 390 mini tower with the i5 2400. I would like to add a newer video card to it for gaming and to do that it looks like I will need a new power supply. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with upgrading that psu. Or even if it was possible and any problem I may run into. Just looking at it it appears to be a standard psu but i know sometimes dell uses non standard parts.

Standard ATX power supply units can be installed, with either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector, with or without the on/off switch.
You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from either a local or online computer store.
Note: A power supply with four SATA power connectors, is required.
