we set back the spare disk to the storage, but it didn't recognize the disk, is there any solution how I can fix this issue without need the spare disk, or how I can let the storage see the disk.

Hello AhmadZuhair,

When you pulled the spare drive did you use the wizard to remove the drive or did you just go up to the system and remove it?  With a SCv2000 you need to have a minimum of 6+1 drives. Looking at the picture you only had 7 drives and when you removed the drive you broke the minimum configuration.  Here is the link to the user’s guide that list out the minimum drives needed for each tier.  https://dell.to/338YQbU.

You will need to call into support so that we can add the drive back in & get the system stable.

Hi DELL-Sam L thanks for the replying, unfortunately we removed the Disk without using the Wizard, so to solve this issue, we need to add the missed Drive, to let the configuration back again, and make the storage stable ? I already added one, but the storage didn't recognize it, when I inserted it, the green light Lit, I tried to scan it from EMC manager by right click on the Disks, then Scan Disks, nothing happened, the light keep solid, no blinking. any clue about this issue, do you think the Drive is damaged ? Thanks in advance.

Hello AhmadZuhair,

You need to add a drive back in again as you need to have 7 drives as a minimum in your SCv2000.  You can use the disk wizard to add the drive back in.  If the wizard doesn’t add the drive back in, then you will need to contact support as we will need to use secure shell to fix this issue.
