DCU-cli.exe Fails to install Intel-9560-9260-8265-7265-3165-Wi-Fi-Driver_2MMMT_WIN_22.30.0.11_A27_04

in most cases it shows its downloading then gets skipped for installation or errors 1002 if its the only available. Even running in the GUI produces errors of unable to install

attempting to install manually does not resolve and driver just attempts repair.

downloaded installer.exe also tried to install via /s /i switches before running DCU. Just wants to repair, and rescanning with CLI shows it as available.

Causes taskseq to error out.

Just wanted to quickly mention that it appears as though they've fixed the issue.

I tried running the Dell Command | Update check application this morning.  It properly downloaded and installed the aforementioned "Intel-9560-9260-8265-7265-3165-Wi-Fi-Driver" without issue.  No restart required.

My system now shows this driver as Version 22.30.0.11, as it should.

Thanks to EDUHoopla for conveying the importance of this issue to Dell.  Your attempts were not in vain, even if they didn't fix it as quickly as we may have hoped.

Looking at the activity log in the GUI of Dell Command | Update Driver_2MMMT is not signed so it is skipped...

I'm experiencing the very same issue.  I have not experienced any type of problem with the Dell Command | Updates program before.

I don't know if this will be helpful at all, but here is my system info:

Hi EDUHoopla,

I had the same issue with my OptiPlex 7050 Micro.

My manual install was a success. Did you Retry Download and save the file from Dell>Support>Drivers & Download?

Intel driver install fail 2021-09-14.png

If you had installed from there, you should go to Device Manager & check up on your Wireless AC card Properties & compare the Driver Version to the one listed in the "Importation Information" section as shown above

I hope this helps.

OK...looks like you have looked under the hood... please ignore my reply above. Now I am paranoid.

I had the same issue when installing via SupportAssist; however, I was able to install directly (download and install by hand) by searching the dell website for "INTEL-SA-00473" which led me to https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=2MMMT&ref=supp_lithium

Yes they match however, im deploying this to about 1,600 machines haha So i cant be doing this manually for all of them. Its really interesting as the DCU will flag as the driver being needed even if its already up to date. The error is with Dell's repository in my opinion, and i have a ticket open with their engineers.

Will update on what they say!

For sure! however, even after attempting a manual install the Intel Driver 2MMT   Dell Command update still flags as it being needed and then fails.

Same issue persists. today but i would also like to add this error:

Dell said the issue might be fixed next Thursday.

Learned that they do changes to the repo then! which explains why I was good until Friday when they updated/changed something on that drvier (Or forgot ot update hte cert or something)

Just happy i was in test phase still and not Prod..whew

Different league, different ball game. Just realised I am in the wrong area. (Notices "Enterprise Support". Wonders how I ended up here) Thank you for not flaming a newb to my first response. Hope Dell finds a fix to this soon. I'll let myself out.

update before i go home.

Dell is still fighting me on this, they had me use my afternoon reinstalling a Dell OEM image on my endpoint since they didn't have one to test.

Guess what Driver is still not signed and won't install on your OEM image. Bringing it home to ensure it isnt the network, but i have been seeing this on mutiple sites/days now.

Yes I was told officially fix on Oct 1st, but the error should be subsided now. Bench testing is looking good!  problem was with their catalog. Also learned DCU will mark a driver as needed for 30 mins then it will flush out if you manually updated, which explains DCU flagging the driver as needed even after i manually installed...
