It was definately a known issue prior to 5.0.7  (from about 5.0.2 to 5.0.6) in which the standby controller was restarting, or reporting false positivies.  For me, that fixed all of my issues, even though early on, Tech Support wanted to replace the controllers that had later build rev numbers.  For me, that particular issue was the first and only time in 3 years that I wanted to shake someone and tell them that they can't be too careful when it comes to revision control.  My hope is that there is something learned from each event, to shore up their internal development and build processes.  I administer an environment for a Software Development company, so I'm well aware of how thorough they need to be when it comes to QA.

I will be moving to 5.1.2 this weekend, as it is a prerequisite to some of the work I'm doing..

Well, after updating to 5.1.2, it looks as if the issue that existed prior to 5.07 (secondary controller randomly restarting) has resurfaced again.  C'mon guys...  I didn't have the luxury of waiting on this update, as I have other projects that are forcing me to go to vsphere 5, and this firmware update was a prerequisite.

I've submitted a ticket to Eql support.  I'll see what they say.  I hope they are taking this seriously.  Apparently they weren't taking regression testing seriously.
