DCB Enabled On Group Configuration... But Not Anymore! Packet Errors...
Hi,
I am encountering packet errors on my arrays. I was told by Dell Tech that I should disable DCB under the Group Configuration (DCB is not enabled when I looked under the array -> Network tab) and that should resolve the packet errors. However after disabling DCB under Group Configuration (and saving), the packet errors count is currently going higher and higher.
Are we looking at the right area?

I no longer receive packet errors after these steps:
1) Disable DCB under Group Configuration -> Advanced, then click Save
2) On the switch-side, disable spanning-tree on edge ports
He recommended doing this during low I/O or maintenance windows...

Try to isolate the interface that is receiving the errors by using a different Cat5E or Cat6 cable, or a different switch port on the iSCSI VLAN. Prior to replacing the cable or moving to a new port, first disable the interface in the EqualLogic web GUI, move/replace the cable then re-enable the interface.
This could also be misconfigured switch, especially if you failed over the array (or did a FW update, which will fail over to the other control module). So you can also try to fail over back to the other control module to see if this clears the errors.
If the errors go away after failing over, check the cable(s) and switch attached to the Control module you saw the errors on, if these check out ok, (i.e., try the cable and same ports on the good control module), and you still have errors it may be the control module.
