How to replace old PS100

We have a PS4000 and a PS100 in a RAID 50 with one storage group.  We are purchasing a new 4100 to replace the PS100.  Can anyone share with me the overall how to of this?  Do I add the 4100 to the group, then merely delete the PS100?

That is indeed the basic process.

Be sure to have your current group updated to at least a 5.1 firmware, but better is to be at 5.2.2. The group will not accept/recognize the 4100 if it's not on a 5.1 firmware.

What FW is the PS100 at right now?   What size and what MFR are the drives?

I would suggest that you add the PS4100 to its own pool.   Create the RAIDset, let it finish building, make sure that all the PS4100 and PS100 interfaces are enabled and up, then move the PS4100 into the same pool as the PS100.

Blocks will start moving to the PS4100, one you see it's moving you can select the PS100 and move it to the temp pool.   This will leave the data behind on the PS4100. If you look at your volumes after awhile you'll see that some volumes are now on both members.  Once it's finished moving, you can right mouse over the PS100 member and select "Delete Member".   This will cleanly remove it from the group and reset it back to factory defaults.

Information about this process is also in the Admin guide under "Member management" chapter.

If you're still not sure, please open a support case and they'll gladly help you with the process.
