Trying to update a firmware via CLI

I'm trying to update the firmware on a PS6010 to version 6.0.2 via CLI BUT I don't have a 10Gbe connection in my lab, I ran the setup and now tried to open an FTP session but no luck.

Thanks,

Try uploading firmware update file using "winscp" thru managment interface and once you get succesfull upload is done, login to your controller thru management using putty, from here you can follow update process, all you need to entr command "update"

As your guide shows you have a 10/100 for management. Configure this on your management network.

FTP to the Management IP and upload the update kit.

Connect to the group manager from Command Line(CLI) on this management port and run the update.

Reference the updating the firmware guide for details.

You will not be able to serial into to the array to upload the file as that location is not to be used by end users.

There is no "trying". If you cannot make an FTP connection to the array you will not be able to upload the firmware.

FTP service can be disable and you should verify from CLI that this was not disabled.  Make sure you are also not blocking FTP traffic to clients on your management network.

Normally if you are using the management port to remove mixed mode from the iscsi port(s), you should be enabling dedicated management and connecting all management NICs on each member on both modules to your network.

When the modules switch roles as in the update, if you don't have the new active module connected, then you will lose access to manage the array.
