Whatever names you gave the volumes in the EQL group will be appended to the IQN of the volume, this will be visible in the iSCSI initiator in windows, if you then connect them 1 by 1 to the server you be able to format them and give them the names that you want.....

I've asked that same question many times when I was attaching and formatting disks in a Windows OS. From a VMware perspective you can view the full name then choose it and format it, alas in windows we don't have that luxury....

Thanks Mike. Not long after I posted this, I came to a very similar realisation...that maybe creating and connecting a bunch of volumes all at once wasn't the best idea. I've done pretty much as you've advised though, and disconnected them all, reconnecting one by one to identify and name them as I go.

I'm no expert on the innards of all this, but it seems like it should be simple just to present something somewhere to allow us to make the connection between the nicely named volume in Group Manager and the unfriendly block of space in Windows Disk Manager. Even if it just told us the Target ID in Group Manager that would be really useful.
