howto remote poweroff a PowerVault MD1200
Is there a way to remotely poweroff / on a PowerVault MD1200, connected to a HBA in a PowerEdge R720xd?
I refuse to install several hundred megabytes OpenManage ( including a web server) just to toggle a power switch.
Alternatively how much power does an MD1200 draw when all harddisks were turned off with
sdparm command=stop $device

Hello Klaus Hartnegg,
No there is not a way to remotely power down an MD1200. You have to pull the power cords to power down the system.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
