MD1200 Power Requirements Questions
1. The power listed on the Dell web site is 600W, no min or max. That is more than 100W higher than the MD1000 however there are less hard drives in the MD1200. What is the lowest and max wattage? Any why if its higher?
2. Have there been any power tests for MD1200 with twelve 1 TB or 2 TB drives?

We spec to the worst case. The 600W is the maximum power. And provide more than ample power to the box. There is no minimal rating.
Power rating can depend on the configuration and on the application. In our testing, a fully populated MD1200 with 2TB 7.2K drives with RAID 5 is measured at around 192W.
