I have created the replication partner,

when enabling the replication for a volume to the partner i am getting the below error :

Group1> vol select Group1Volume replication enable
% Error - No connection could be established. Verify that the partner IP address
 is correct.

How ever a ping to the partner group is working fine with the ipaddress not with partner name ??

What can be the issue, could some one suggest ?
