Dell OpenManage Enterprise Modular

Question

Hi

I am preparing for the Dell PowerEdge MX Modular Deploy 2023 Certification D-PEMX-DY23 Exam. I worked through the Demo's. Just thinking on the type on simulators that came in the exam which I failed, I will have to have more hands on. Unfortunately we do not have a MX7000 to get on on the OpenManage Enterprise Modular GUI. I have been searching for a OME offline simulator but could not find. The demos are interactive, and some options are not available to view or to test..

I just want to ask a simple Q. Can the OME OS / ISO be downloaded and will I be able to create a VM for exam preparation to view all the OME options.

Any info will be appreciated, as I need to get this under the belt.

Great question! Unfortunately, the OpenManage Enterprise Modular (OME-M) software isn’t available as a standalone ISO for download, and Dell doesn’t provide an official offline simulator for MX7000. The interactive demos are the closest option for hands-on practice without hardware, but they do have limitations as you noticed.

Here are a few suggestions:

Dell Demo Center – If your organization has access, you can request a virtual lab environment for MX7000 and OME-M. This is the best way to get full functionality without physical hardware.
Partner Lab Access – As a Dell partner, check if you can book time on shared lab resources through the Partner Portal.
OME-M Documentation & Videos – Reviewing the admin guide and Dell TechCenter videos can help fill gaps where demos don’t show all options.

Unfortunately, creating a VM from OME-M isn’t supported because it’s tightly integrated with MX hardware.
