Querying for Courses on my Journey from Associate to Expert for Dell Cloud Infrastructure and Services

I have recently planned and booked to seat out three exams to becoming a Dell Certified Cloud Architect. For some this could be an easier journey but for me personally It could be quite an adjustment with a few more learning curves as I am currently a Network and Security Administrator with a beginner level of understanding as it comes to Cloud. So I am looking for Courses that I should be attending and books I should be reading primarily the free ones from DELL EMC if any available and those that are paid one in the DELL Circle and beyond. Simply asking for a suggestion of studying materials that will ease up the learning curve during my journey in becoming a Cloud Architect. Thank you all for your suggestion and looking forward to them.

Hello Sisayfe,

As you would expect, the cloud courses in the certification program cover a broad range of topics and they are designed to help build knowledge from beginner to the expert level.    You mentioned you are at the beginning level of a network and security administrator.  Both of these areas are certainly foundation pieces of the cloud  but there are many more.

Since you are looking to build upon your foundation, you can do so by taking both the CIS and ISM associate level courses.    CIS is specific to the cloud and, although ISM is not cloud specific, it covers 13 foundational topic areas that are important whether you are a system administrator or eventually a cloud administrator or architect.     While you are taking each course, you can try the practice exam to see if there are areas you need to spend additional time on.   At that point, you can search Dell’s libraries for those specific topics to see what might be available for free to supplement your training but the CIS and ISM courses are already very comprehensive and should have a majority of what you need for the associate level.

Gaining knowledge and experience in the cloud space should be considered a long-term process and, if you have the opportunity to gain any hands-on experience with any of the many Dell Technologies cloud related offerings (including VMware) or with any of the public cloud providers, that will also help.   There are sometimes free-labs or lab demos available so you can search for those as you make progress.

Good luck in your journey.

Hi, sisayfe,

I'm taking the same path as you, I recently passed the associate level exam.

I', just being curious, how's your journey into the cloud with Dell EMC so far?
