Dsk [Director, Interface, TID] : [11B, D, 4]

The hyper is on a disk that have a Target Identifier (TID) set to 4 (it depends on the location of the drive in the backend .. Given the full address - 11B:D04 in this case, you can open your box and find the HDA that hosts your data)

Disk Director Volume Number : 276 (0x113)

The hyper is the 276th handled from your processor 11B .. that's all ;-)

is this the same as the LUN number for "05D3" got
when it assigned to FA port , say FA:P="13C:1"?

Since both values refers to the backend, they do not change if your volume is mapped or not ;-)

Hi Stefano,

I would like to understand the following line more accurately:

Disk [Director, Interface, TID] : [11B, D, 4]

So, 11 is DA Slot number.

B (of 11B) is the processor/port number of DA 11.

Now what are the 'interface' and 'tid'? How do I relate it to the position of the disk?

Interface is nothing but the port number.

TID is referring to the disk slot on the Enclosure. In one DAE, We can have a maximum of 15 disks [0-E], 4 refers the 5th slot on that particular enclosure.

[1-16] 11 - Director

[A,B,C,D] B  - Controller

[C,D] C- port

[0-E] 4 - disk slot
