in addition to Mark's suggestion ..if you have hosts that do not have symcli installed but you still want those systems to show up with meaningful names in the database you can use this command to manually rename them:

symmask -sid 123 -wwn 50060b000024585a rename hpxjy02/td1

The names come from the VCMdb.

You can populate this field for each host which has VCMdb visibility by running "symmask discover hba -rename". This will place the hostname in the "User Generated" node name field. This is equivalent to the old "vcmfind" utility.

Ah good .. so you bring your e-book reader with you in the bus and read S.E. manuals while listening to Mozart ?? I'm pretty sure that your ipod is full of Mozart !! :D

i print them out ..easier to take notes on paper. No ipod for me (i purposely do not purchase products from Apple), i have an mp3 player by Sandisk, works like a champ and gazillion dollars cheaper then ipod.
