Question About Solutions Enabler

Hi

I have a question about solutions enabler, I have a DMX 4 with 6.4 solutions enabler version, besides I have 2 servers with the same version.

If i want to change the version to 6.5, the question is:

Do i need to change the version in my servers and in my DMX?

and who do that in my DMX? I mean, does EMC customer services do that?

Regards

Solutions Enabler 6.5.3 supports Enginuity code 68-73
Solutions Enabler 7.0 supports Enginuity code 71-74

for more details you can click on Release notes for specific SE version:

Home > Support > Technical Documentation and Advisories > Software ~ S ~ Documentation > Solutions Enabler

If you need to upgrade Enginuity code to address bugs or to obtain new functionality, you will need to contact your local EMC team. Typically your CE will submit a change request ticket, when it gets approved, he/she copies the binary code to the service process and then remote team (RTS) will dial-in into your frame (modem/ESRS) and load the code.

There is no need to worry about what level of SE is installed on the laptop inside the symmetrix. It is upgraded as needed when the code is upgraded if need be.
