i agree with you, you tend to see a lot more documentation from EMC on how to present storage versus reclaiming. You will need to put your "technical writer" hat on and document it for them . I just looked in the latest Symmetrix Procedure generator and they do not have anything that has to do with reclaiming storage.
I thought this deserved its own topic since there is clearly some robust opinion on the need for reclamation guidance... Thus, I branched this off to it's own topic.
After lots of googling in Powerlink we found out Primus Solution emc96258in Knowledge base to "Remove a LUN from a Windows host" . Welcome to any other articles which helps to do the same purpose in other OSs .
