Running 64bit and 32bit Solutions Enabler Concurrently

Question

Has anyone been successful running both the 64bit and 32bit versions of SE? We need to run the 64bit version for our Windows 64bit SRDF/CE environment, and the 32bit to support the RM 5.0.2 Host Agent.

yep ..its for exchange/sql. We had to install 64 bit version..because when we installed 32bit on the 64bit box ..it was missing COM+ components so we knew something was wrong. Although the install went without a glitch ..and all sym api services started okay but i am afraid your RM relies on those COM+ components to be there. Worth a shot ..you will see that 32bit install will end up in C:\Program files (x86)\Emc

i am assuming not on the same box ? We have SE 32 bit on our control server where we do all of our config changes, ECC runs on the same box too. On our exchange 2007 boxes we run 64bit , these boxes perform VSS/Timefinder clone operations.

Yes, on the same box. We are unable to run Clones with RM 5 as the software will apparently only work on 32bit SE. If your able to run VSS/TF clones on your exchange 2007 server with 64bit SE, what do you use to run the clone?

what do you mean ? On the exchange server we use VSS/Exchange integration package that uses SE to issue Timefinder commands.

We run Replication Manager 5.0.2. RM initiates the VSS freeze/thaw commands and automates the mounts for us. The VSS/Exchange package you use is probablby TFEIM, correct?
