Creating a static image with Dell Image Assist Static involves a few key steps to ensure that your image is properly captured and can be deployed across multiple systems. Here’s a concise guide:

  1. Prepare Your System:

    • Start with a clean installation of Windows on your reference system.
    • Ensure that the system’s hardware configuration is identical to the target systems where the image will be deployed.
  2. Enter Audit Mode:

    • Boot the system into Audit Mode to customize the Windows installation without creating a user account.
    • Use the CTRL + Shift + F3 shortcut at the OOBE screen or run Sysprep.exe with the Audit Mode option.
  3. Customize the Image:

    • Install necessary drivers, applications, and make any system settings changes.
    • Test the system to ensure all customizations work as expected.
  4. Capture the Image:

    • Use Dell Image Assist Static to capture the image of your system.
    • Follow the prompts to create a static image file.
  5. Deploy the Image:

    • Use Dell Image Assist or other deployment tools to apply the static image to your target systems.
    • Ensure that the deployment process completes successfully and the systems are configured correctly.
