3847 cpu orientation

Hello all! I did a search and dodn't find my answer.What orientation is the text on the cpu when facing the motherboard? I'm trying to upgrade to a i7 4770 and get an orange light and a cpu fan on high when I turn  it on now  now. Thanks!

socket lga 1150. CPU letter upright with socket latch on right side.

If you put the cpu in wrong orientation you could have bent socket pin.

Thanks that's what I thought.Any idea why I get the cpu fan on high with an orange power light> The upper left cpu screw won't come out so I had to muscle the heatsink out of the way to replace the cpu. I think something on the back of the motherboard broke because the screw turns but never detaches from the MB. Is my MB fried? Thanks again!
