Dell Security Manager
Unable to login to a dell PC with 8fc8. Can someone here reset my password if I send you my service tag please? I had the kid set the password and of course he forgot it.

I assume you mean the BIOS password that allows you to boot the system and not the Windows password. This post has information that should help. And I would not reveal the service tag number to anyone except a Dell Tech Support agent.

Yes, it is the bios password. I have the newer 8fc8 bios chipset. I have been on the phone with dell for hours, I have emailed Dell multiple times... I don't get what's so hard. It's algo based to get a new pass.

That site has a ton of bios password reset tools, but currently does not do the newer chipsets.

Can you try reset password jumper on motherboard? This should clear bios password.
