Inspiron 24-3477, HDMI port usage
I want to use the Dell 24 AIO as a second monitor for my laptop, which has an HDMI out.
I can't figure out how to use the HDMI Port on the Inspiron One 24 3477. Where is the video input switch?
There is a switch underneath the power button but it does not do anything. Is there a software switch to switch the monitor to the HDMI Input?

See the online specifications PDF, page 16. The rear HDMI port is OUT only. For example, sending the Inspiron 24-3477 windows desktop to a TV with a HDMI in port. You cannot use it to receive video from another device to show on the Inspiron 24-3477. The bottom button is only to run the LCD Self-Test. See page 17.

You are asking about using the all in one as a second monitor. That is not possible. The hdmi port on the all in one is an output for an external monitor, not an input. The manual says this--
HDMI-out port Connect a TV or another HDMI-in enabled device. Provides video and audio output.
