Inspiron 5675, upgrading CPU
Is it possible to use an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 CPU with the motherboard for the Dell Inspiron 5675 desktop or is it incompatible?

Expecting 2nd and 3rd gen features from a 1st gen chipset and motherboard is not a good idea. Dell only supports what came with the motherboard. Upgrading CPU is not supported. The current models support 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ cpus.

the current model (5676) supports 2nd gen Ryzen CPUs and uses a 1st gen chipset. No reason the 5675 couldn't do the same. Dell chose not to update the BIOS to allow it.
