Inspiron 5680 random Freezing/Lockup

So for the past two days now, my Inspiron 5680 has had four moments where it will totally freeze up.

The screen will stay on  but I can't move the mouse or type on the keyboard, and the fans begin to spin up rapidly. If there is audio being play it will peak the speakers making it sound like a loud beeeeeep and videos will freeze. This goes on until I do a hard restart in which case sometimes there is a yellow light which flashed four times. But other times it will just boot up normally.

The first occasion was when I was playing a game, Victoria 2, it was modded but it's an old game and my pc had no trouble running it before.

Second instance was immediately after rebooting it, it froze on my desktop and I did another reboot. This started the yellow lights and then it seemed for a moment that it was totally bricked until after some time unplugged it started fine and operated normally. I scanned with Windows Defender and Malwarebytes and both came up clean. There was an update for my GPU (NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 ti) that was installed fine without any issue.

Third instance it happened the next day when I was just casually browsing the internet and watching a video. This time it booted up completely fine and I tried figuring out what the problem was. A second round of antivirus scans came up clean again. Event log and Reliability monitor didn't record and issues other than the hard restarts. GPU temps seemed normal, my CPU and Disks where running normal, Memory was a bit high but well within my usual operating range. Running Sfc/Scannow showed some drive errors that were corrected and after that it all seemed normal and like the other day went to sleep just fine with no obvious issues.

Fourth and current instance occurred around an hour ago, it again seemed like it was having some issues with booting up but I've managed to get it running again and checking task manager, reliability monitor, and event log shows nothing out of the ordinary.

As far as updates go, I am affected by the recent issue with Dell Update's delivery on the new BIOS update, but I don't necessarily think this is causing this.

There was an issue with Windows updates I had around two weeks back which was resolved, but something like this seems like it would have happened immediately if this was the cause.

I'm honestly totally at a loss as to what's causing this other than maybe hardware issues which again seems unlikely to me as I've always kept good care of my hard ware, I only run old games far below my specs and I keep on top of updates.
