Inspiron 620 BIOS Update
Inspiron 620
Can't update to the latest BIOS, version MS-A08. Doesn't work in Windows, and MS-DOS made by Rufus results in: "opensfx err: signature sfx mismatched". Previous/current BIOS does not have this issue.

That might mean you do not need the update. Bios updates are very rare on old models. See the details-- MH/SW BIOS release. | Driver Details | Dell US

@Briery
Do you have any of the Dell support software on your machine? There is usually a place in their app to get any updates for your Dell, including any available BIOS updates.
You can get those apps from the same Dell support page that the BIOS file came from if you don't already have these programs loaded. Look for "Dell Digital Delivery" or "Dell Update Application" either on the PC or in that support "Downloads and Drivers" page.

Both of those did not work. Dell Support Center does not say anything about a BIOS update.

If 620 is still working and you run into unexplained bios update issue, better not to try too hard which may increase risk of bricking mobo. For general bios/cmos maintenance replace cmos battery with a new cr2032.

If it helps to any degree, according to the Details section when right clicking on the file, and selecting Properties, it says the original file name is, "Extractor.exe".
If the file name is renamed from, "MS-A08.exe", to "Extractor.exe", when booted into the MS-DOS USB, the file name appears as, "EXTRAC~1" when using the, "dir" command. I'm not sure if this has any affect on the file executing properly.
Under the General section when right clicking on the file, and selecting Properties, at the Security section, it says "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer. ". Unblocking it, and running it has no affect.
