Samsung M378A1G44BB0-CWE 8GB RAM

Just purchased a Inspiron 3891 with 8MB RAM, thought that I may want to increase the RAM to 16MB so I checked the part number and guess what? Nobody at Dell can idetify it and Samsung say its not listed, so how on earth did it get in a new machine??  Any ideas anybody what I can do about getting another "Samsung M378A1G44BB0-CWE 8GB" or do I have to get complelty new RAM sticks and if I was to, how will that effect the Dell guarntee???  On a side, I have bought 3 Inspirons over the last couple of months and a Dell screen from Dell France and it has been a nightmare dealing with Dell France, big mistake on my part - so, be warned when dealing with Dell France. (Dell US and UK, no problem at all)

A big THANK YOU, two on order from Crusial via Amazon. Truly appreciate your input, my next question would be; why couldn't Dell France or Samsung have given me this same help????
Have a great holiday you and yours and be safe.

Re: Samsung M378A1G44BB0-CWE 8GB

adding your own ram does not void Dell warranty.  it is just Dell cannot validate non-Dell ram to work in this model.

your Dell ram probably has this DP/N 9CXF2 (check your system spec using your private service tag)

9CXF2 8GB DDR4, 3200MHz, 1Gx64, Unbuffered, 288 pin, Single Rank, 1.2V, Non-ECC, Non-Encrypted Adata AO2P32NC8W1-BD3SHC, Hynix HMAA1GU6CJR6N-XN, Kingston K9CXF2-MIB/K9CXF2-MIE, Micron MTA4ATF1G64AZ-3G2B1/MTA4ATF1G64AZ-3G2E1, Samsung M378A1G44AB0-CWE/M378A1G44BB0-CWE

you can buy any of the above original oem ram to pair with the Dell Samsung ram.

this US ebay seller has Hynix HMAA1GU6CJR6N-XN. you can contact seller to see if it is possible to ship to Fr.

If you install 2 x 8GB RAM modules or even 1 x 8 GB module it will not affect your warranty. This is the spec page for that RAM on the Samsung web site. Newegg has those modules in stock here. As for the best upgrade method, it has always been to replace the RAM as a kit for matched compatible RAM. Crucial has that RAM here. Crucial RAM has always been the most compatible with Dell systems.
