Unable to find drivers bios update error

I use an Inspiron 5680 desktop and have been postponing updating the bios for years as of the risks but since I'm getting a new pc next year I thought now might be the right time to update so I've been trying to install 2.0.7 the next one after min but it gave the error 'unable to load driver' no matter what I've disconnected my antivirus and internet but still nothing and I don't use bit locker could anyone help me?

The latest BIOS update for this system is 2.13.0. It's not essential to update sequentially, but once you update to 2.1.0 or later, you cannot downgrade to any version earlier than BIOS 2.1.0.

You should run the BIOS update entirely outside of Windows by following the instructions for Updating the BIOS from BIOS Boot Menu (independent of operating system) here. This method is much safer than trying to update BIOS from inside Windows.

Use an empty 2-GB USB stick, formatted FAT32. Download the Inspiron_Gaming_DT_5680_2.13.2.exe update file here. NOTE: This link is for the v2.13 update. If you'd rather install an earlier version, there will be a link to download the .exe file (not the .rcv file) on that version's support page.

You can download the file onto an internal drive in the PC and copy over to the USB, or download it directly onto the USB.

You have to start the process by powering the PC fully off. You can't just do a Restart inside Windows. With the USB plugged into this PC, power on and tap F12 when you see the Dell splash screen to open the F12 menu. Select the Flash Update option and follow the prompts. Use the Tab, arrow and Enter keys to navigate.

Once the update starts, leave PC alone until it's safely back at desktop. It will reboot itself several times and may even look like it shut off completely. Just leave it alone until you're back at the desktop.

I wanted to update the bios because the intel hd 3000 driver (something like that) caused my windows to show blank screen. My screen only worked on safe mode but i got the error trying to run the bios update there.

connecting the tv to the hdmi port saved me and I can now install the bios updates using it
