We cannot back up your system files...

I get this message from Dell Support Assist:

"We cannot back up your system files. Once you have freed up hard drive space..."

but do not know where to freed up the space.

Please help!

At this point, assuming the drive is full or nearly full, you will need to figure out what's taking up the space (Treeview is mentioned in that thread, which will help).  Once that's done, you can clear up some of the unneeded files or older backups.  There's no one way to approach the issue, but the first step is to figure out what's consuming so much space.

Thank you very much for the answer. However, it does not answer, as far as I understand, my question where to increase/decrease the space that Dell Support Assist requests.

Thank you very much. I couldn't understand Dell saying that the hard drive was running out of space. I thought it was a special area. I'll follow this up. Thanks.

PS. Can that really be true? I have 50 GB left out of 220 GB 🤔

The most effective way to clear up space is by deleting unused software and media.

Additionally, you could consider a USB flash drive or external hard drive for backups. These are essential!
