7306 Intermittent Touchpad

Hello Dell Community:

I purchased a new 7306 a few months ago. The touchpad worked intermittently, with the cursor movement, scrolling function, and selecting function sometimes working and sometimes not working. Dell tried but could not get the touchpad to function properly. They sent me another 7306 and it has the same touchpad problems. All updates have been made and I have reinstalled the touchpad drivers. Have any of you experienced this issue and/or have a solution to this frustrating problem? Is this a common issue with the 7306 laptop? Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I neglected to mention that the touchpad was replaced on the first unit.  This of course did not fix the problem.

Thank you for your response. The computer is still under warranty, but warranty service is not able to solve the problem.  Hence my reaching out to the community on this blog.
