Audio channels are mixed

Hi

i have two laptops Dell inspiron 15 7000 gaming. Both have the same issue.

I need to send one audio to left speaker and another audio to right speaker, but i have both audio signals in both speakers.

For example: I plugin 3,5 jack to laptop and plugin one cinch to external speakers (second cinch is unpluged). I play sound from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTvJoYnpeRQ. I´m supposed to hear only "left channel" or "right channel" (depends on which channel is plugged), but i can hear "left channel" and "right channel".

When i watch a movie or play a game its hard to recognize, but i need fix this for my app.

When i do the same with Dell inspiron 13 500 series or deskop computer Lenovo, its working well (i can hear only "left channel")

Is there something i need to disable?

Thanks for every advice.

Solved.

All i needed was change driver from Realtek audio to High definition audio device.

And it was left and right channels playing from both speakers.

Usually this is caused by the plug connector not aligning properly with the connectors inside the receptacle, so the signal coming from your PC for a particular channel is getting picked up on both the left and right channel portions of the plug connector. Typically though because of how the plug connectors are arranged, this situation only arises for source audio in one channel, i.e. the left channel plays out of both speakers but the right channel works properly, or the other way around. Are you hearing source audio for both the left and right channels playing out of both speakers? If so, I guess theoretically your audio device could be configured for mono output. Check Control Panel > Sound and look at the properties of your default playback device. And then if you have the Dell Audio or Waves MaxxAudio application on that system, check there too.

Thank you so much! I've been looking for this solution for awhile now! Changing the driver worked perfect.

I am having the same issue, I have updated both my drivers, restarted my PC over 10 times, and tried both Realtek and High Definition Audio.

For a brief 10 minute period, while using the HD audio, I had stereo audio on my headphones, but since then I have been experiencing the same issue. I am not sure what changes I made to my drivers other than changing to High Definition audio for the third time and something working.

Sorry to re-open a 2 y/o thread.

Disregard, apparently I had the 'm o n o* audio' setting enabled in disability settings.

Whoops...

* the term ' m o n o ' without spaces, is considered a hateful word and is not allowed in the dell help community
