Battery Serial Number Verification
Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased a dell battery online which supposedly includes a 1 year warranty. How can I verify the status of the warranty and/or the genuineness of the battery.

The first question would be what is the model number of your system and then from which retailer did you purchase the battery? Also a picture of the battery would help if you can post it.

I've got an A05 at the end and an 0CG in the middle. Are any of those valid?

I have an inspiron 15 7572 with a WDX0R 3 cell battery Li-ion battery.
Regarding the battery will the serial number do (instead of a photograph)? I didn't know if I should be posting that info publicly since it might be considered personal.

Any warranty on a drive purchased other than from Dell or parts-people.com has a warranty on the seller's terms -- you need to contact your seller for verification of authenticity or warranty.
In the part number string is a three digit field set off by dashes -- like 1A7, etc. If you post that, someone can at least verify the age of the battery.

0CG would likely be 2020-March as a manufacture date, so it's on the order of 18 months old.

I understand thanks.
Is the warranty counted from manufacture date only?
