BIOS Update, Battery not charging, Replace battery message
Hello, I have A Inspiron 15 3567 laptop. It's 18 months old, well maintained. On a fine day, it suddenly showed "You need to replace your battery". Before that I had a fully healthy functional, good backup battery. After the message, I could not on my pc without the AC adapter plugging in, when I unplug the charger, the laptop shuts down like a blink. Basically, the battery has no function left, the pc only runs on ac adapter plugged in. the power indicator light continuously blinking orange whenever I plugged in the charger, till I plug it off. I tried to reinstall battery drivers, nothing works. My BIOS version is: 2.10.0 10-05-19. Is the battery really dead, or if I update my BIOS the problem can be solved? But How can I update my bios if the battery is not working? What should I do??? Please help me out. @SreejithR @DELL-Jesse L @Crixncheese @Mary G

I'd suggest reseating battery and draining the residual power of your computer to see if it will make any difference.
1. Power off computer. Remove AC adapter and all external peripherals such as printers, scanners or any other USB device connected to your computer.
2. Turn computer over, and slide the battery-release latch to the unlocked position. You hear a click sound when the battery is unlocked. Using your fingertips, lift the battery at an angle and remove it from the battery bay
3. Turn computer over, open display, and press 'Power On' button for about 15 seconds to drain the residual power of your computer. Replace battery, power on system, hopefully battery start charging and no more error code on battery.
