BIOS Update to 1720

My Inspiron 1720 was upgraded to Windows 10 and has been operating extremely well for a laptop that I was told was not upgradeable. However, I want to do a clean install of Windows 10 and recently noticed there was a 2011 BIOS A09 update for the A09 that I installed in 2008. Should I apply this update retroactively before the clean install if I have had no issues to date? What would I gain?
