Blue Screen

Question

My Inspiron keeps shutting down to a blue screen and gives me an error message. The message reads ' Your device ran into a problem and needs to re-start. We are collecting some error info and then we will re-start for you' I have tried to run the diagnostics test through the Dell Support but the computer shuts down before the test is completed. Help!!

Status update, Dell-Cares helped to reinstall Windows 11. Steps performed can be found in this Dell Support video:

Run the hardware test Outside OS environments . Reboot to F12 menu and choose diagnostics.

If the tests are passed.

Run WhoCrashed and it will read last crash dumps and tell you the exact file causing the issue.

Windows 10 crash errors are collected in Problem Reports and referenced against other crash data that is available online. To access Problem Reports, follow these instructions:

Click Start

, then type "problem reports."
Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to software.
Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut-down unexpectedly.
Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
